This started as a question our own customers kept asking. A venue signs up to Vesopa EPOS, gets the till working, and then asks who does their website. Until now the honest answer was "someone else" — and that someone else was charging them £15 a month for a site on a shared box in another country, with a renewal price nobody warned them about.

No cPanel. Our own panel.
This is the decision everything else follows from. Most budget hosts hand you cPanel, an interface designed in 1996 for system administrators, and leave you to it. We are not doing that.
You will get one control panel that we designed and we control: your sites, your email, your databases, your backups, your SSL, in plain English. No forty-icon grid. No feature you have to search the internet to understand. The industrial machinery underneath is real and it is well proven — you will simply never be asked to look at it.
If a restaurant owner has to read documentation to add an email address, we have built the wrong product.

Every plan includes an SSL certificate, free, renewed automatically and forever. Charging separately for encryption stopped being defensible years ago. Business and Pro add daily backups you can restore yourself, free migration of your existing site, and a free domain for the first year.

Search, register and manage your domain in the same place as your hosting — around twenty-three extensions at launch, including the ones a British business actually wants.

The renewal price sits next to the first-year price, before you buy. Some extensions genuinely are cheap in year one because the registry discounts them — .shop and .online among them — and where that is true you will see exactly what year two costs while you are still deciding. The trick we will not play is burying it.

Why we think we can do this well
We are not a hosting company that decided to sell tills. We are a company that has been running production systems for its customers — payments, live tills across multiple venues, back-office data that a business depends on being right — and hosting is the same discipline pointed at a different problem.
It also makes the rest of Vesopa better. A venue whose till, website, ordering page, domain and email all live in one account has one bill, one login and one number to ring when something breaks. That is a genuinely nicer way to run a small business than the four separate suppliers most of our customers have now.
